Participants were invited to create unique vessels using clay, an element featured prominently in Gaitan’s work as a sculptor.

LORRAINE NAM: ART SUNDAE
On November 12, 2022, Nam led a children’s public art-making workshop inspired by the holiday season and Nam’s current exhibition at Rockefeller Center.

ARGHAVAN KHOSRAVI: ART SUNDAE
Inspired by Khosravi’s Art in Focus exhibition at Rockefeller Center, participants were invited to work with tile patterns, an element that is featured prominently in Khosravi’s own work.

EMILY MULLIN ART SUNDAE
Inspired by Mullin’s current Art in Focus exhibition at Rockefeller Center, participants were invited to create their own sculptural vessels using clay. Provided with air-dry clay the children were given the opportunity to experiment with sculpting by hand and creating unique objects of beauty.

MAX COLBY: ART SUNDAE
Inspired by Colby’s current Art in Focus exhibition at Rockefeller Center, participants were invited to create their own sculptural icons. Provided with an abundance of repurposed materials including fabrics, flowers, toys, and trims, among others, children were given the opportunity to reimagine their relationship with decorative and everyday materials.

SANFORD BIGGERS: ART SUNDAE

ART SUNDAE WITH HIBA SCHAHBAZ
On February 3 Hiba Schahbaz led children through a digital Art Sundae workshop where participants created watercolor portraits of someone they love.

VANESSA GERMAN: ART SUNDAE
Working with German, children will have the opportunity to use cardboard cones, twine, ribbon, yarn, fabric, beads, buttons, jewelry, and embellishments to create “power figures,” sculptures of beings that symbolize hope and purpose.
